ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Four friends make up Jolliff with their love of melodic pop music from the Beatles and The Band to Sufjan Stevens and Grizzly Bear. Jolliff emphasizes sincere lyrics and spirited melodies, letting complicated rhythms and piquing vistas drift in from time to time.

Living in the old parsonage of Portsmouth Trinity Lutheran Church, Jolliff works away at their songs in between day care, confirmation classes and weekly boy-scout meetings. Not only do they let them live and practice there, but they allowed Jolliff to record their first "Everyone You Know EP" in the 100 year old Norwegian built sanctuary.

Jolliff is eager to be apart of the burgeoning and well-established music scene of Portland, OR and to let their music be a vehicle of joy of sincerity for those who listen.
