Gotta Love Me

by Jonathan Grayson

Music is my life. It’s my passion and not a day goes by that I don’t pick up my guitar or jam on my piano and get lost in the music. I really enjoy songwriting and I am super excited about my debut album that will be ready soon!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Wow, where did it all begin? Well, for me my interest in music began at around the age of 6. I joined my school choir in Grade 1 and I was in choir throughout my school life. I also had the privilege of being selected for the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands Youth Choir in 2009 and 2010 . I really loved singing although initially was quite shy. I entered a talent show at School (St Charles College, Pietermaritzburg, Kwazulu-Natal) in 2007 and I remember singing You Raise Me Up by Josh Groban. I was pretty nervous as it was the first time I was singing on my own in front of a large crowd. I had to be convinced to do it and I am glad I did because it went really well and that was the start of my musical journey! Various talent shows followed and I then joined the School Band, Royal Flush. We played at various festivals and did really well. A highlight for us was opening for South African Idols winner Jason Hartman. I have great memories of those times and made great friends.

Having left school, I have had more time to concentrate on my music. Music is my life. It’s my passion and not a day goes by that I don’t pick up my guitar or jam on my piano and get lost in the music. I really enjoy songwriting and I am super excited about recording my debut album. My first 2 singles have received extensive radio play. My musical influences include John Mayer, The Script, Coldplay and Michael Buble. I am looking forward to the future!

It has been said…if people aren’t laughing at your dreams then they aren’t big enough! I have big dreams….

So keep a look out and please share my music. Thank you so much for reading this, I hope you feel you know me a bit better :)
