ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Joseph Demaree is an artist currently residing in Portland OR. His artistry takes shape in the eye of the storm and on the edge of a sunbeam, dancing on moonbeams. Poetic expression continues to hit him over the head. Now captured and written down for the catch and release, as the come around continues to come around.

This album "Mirrors" was recorded with The Broken Windows (Joshua McCaslin, Don Ankrom, Ben Dahmes) in Portland OR, July 2012.

Demaree's songwriting for this album was written on an acoustic Martin 0015 while living in Encinitas CA, traveling Italy, living in Ranchita CA and living in Oceanside CA.

After touring and releasing albums as the songwriter and lead dreamer of The Unit Breed, Demaree moved from Portland OR back to his hometown of San Jose CA. Here he assembled a cast and crew to form a cable access TV show called "Welcome Back!". He would also record and release Captain Nowhere's "Party Time INC." A move to Encinitas CA followed. Here Demaree picked up a new acoustic guitar and began writing songs for this album. Demaree also began playing solo, acoustic shows at this time. Many travels and many homes later, Demaree left the San Diego County for Portland OR. Here this album took shape with ex bandmates Joshua McCaslin (Kowloon) and Don Ankrom (Kowloon). Ben Dahmes stepped in to complete "The Broken Windows" as he and Joshua continue to create music in the band "Roselit Bone". Demaree would then move to Los Gatos CA and San Jose CA before returning to reside in Portland OR. Now Joseph Demaree's "Mirrors" sees the light.

Joseph Demaree has already begun working on new recordings with a new band "The Square Tires" (Ben Dahmes - Drums / Joey Stockdale - Lap Steel). Demaree will be playing out live (solo) and with "The Square Tires" in the great North West this year of 2013.
