Josh and the Jamtones is an exciting (and often hilarious) rock n roll family band located in Boston, Mass. “Our goal with Josh & the Jamtones is to create a totally unique, interactive and original music experience that parents can enjoy together with their children. The Jamtones band has made serious waves in the Boston-area family music scene in the last year. We consider our music distinctly and deliberatively old-timey with influences of the Beatles, Paul Simon and Bob Marley. Our first national CD launch encapsulates the rhythmic soul of our band and we are pumped to play Life Is Good.”
Josh & The Jamtones recently opened for the massively popular children’s band, The Wiggles, rocked two sets at the 2012 Life is Good Festival (w/Dave Matthews, Sarah Bareillis and Michael Franti) and played at Fenway Park’s Family Fun Day double-header. The six member band, including several Berklee College of Music alumni, has played more than 100 shows in the last eight months and has also independently recorded 56 songs. The 15 songs comprising the JUMP UP! album were recorded and produced by members of the Jamtones and by former Letters to Cleo bassist Scott Riebling, producer of Fall Out Boy and Cobra Starship. The JUMP UP! album is being released in partnership with parent company Jammin’ With You, a wildly popular performance-based music school and provider of in-home music lessons to the greater Boston and NYC areas. Owned and operated by Shriber, the company utilizes original Jamtones material as curriculum for group classes.
