ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ndikwenda kigacwa is the third project of jp muiruri, first being aciari ningatho 1991 which was then followed by murathi wa kihooto 1992.The cd contain 12tracks.

Ndikwenda kigacwa has several messages to different people of all walk of live. first jp is lamenting about the colonises who colonised africa in the 19th centuary and as if that was not enough now most of the african are in Europe, America, Asia etc working for the vice.He is also dismayed with the kanu regime, and pose a quetion "jogoo namwatina mutwe i maitu njorii eh na mera noerarikia maroma naku eh." Which mean even after slaughtering the the cockerel [kanu] the eggs are still being laid where are they coming from?He then seeks advice when "ituika" here ituika meaning the kanu government of kenya will relinqush it hold of power.

Metamophecary he tells moi,"Tondu wahata ikumbe muthuri uyu na ciana iri methimu cikara kii"? "Nawaiga tukume thutha tukinye riaku aca riiku niriarama ta ria njugu."[You have eaten all the money in the central bank and you are still

bearing children what are they gonna eat?you then tells

us to follow your footsteps but alas yours are so wides

like elephant's He does not stop there but also tells him
[you tells as that it's only you who can stir the the pot and whenever we open our mouth we are thrown into jail,"nyukwa ari kweru 0na maitu ari kweru" meaning when your mother was in labour [pain] my mum too felt the same pain in bearing me.

kwaheri kenya means [bye bye kenya]the song is an experience of the singers freight from kenya to U.S.A.he pray to God to have a safe journey,ie his first stop over is saudi arabia where there are tumoils, he is relieved when the plane is airbourne but still pray to God for the plane not to be hijacked.Lastly he land safely at logan airport[boston] and thanks God for the safe journey.

Riria Ukenete [When you are happy] in the world that we live in things happens differently ie when someone is making merry another one is mourning, when one is wedding another couple is divorcing. When one has no kids another one has many kids while another is conterplating an abortion while somebody else is getting injection to stop her from getting pregnant etc.the singer conclude by advacing everyone to be happy for what he/she is because riches are the remains of what you eat.

Ndamathia [shark] is a song siting high level corruption in kenya ie in the banking industry if you apply for a loan for the manager to approve he must get a kick back. The same corruption is also in the hospitals and in the motuary too,he also laments about the squabbles that are experienced in the church hiariachy, and wonder where the world is heading, Is the world coming to an end?he laments

Kwaheri mombasa [Bye bye mombasa]The song is a dicision for the singer to return to his home after being in mombasa for 7yrs he just realease that east or west home is the best.He sites the tribulation that he has faced there sickness and being beaten by jins etc.memories are still very vivid of how he used to wake up very early in the mourning to go sell sukumawiki at mwembetayari market.Although broke when fanally he arrives home a goat is slaughtered for him and given new cloths and throw away the tattared.

Masugar daddy[sugar daddies]Wealthy old men going with young ladies their daugters agemate and ruin their lives."maruiga ona nyau nguru nienyuaga iria" that even old cats are not denied from drinking milk. There are driven in sleek cars to clubs bars etc.and evatually to motels. When finally there get pregnant the sugardaddy does not want to litsen and she is called names."Look around who has done that don't you know i am church elder and a respected member of the community,to make the matters worse i'm a family men go to your agement.

Uhiki ya j.p.[j.p's wedding]the song is in praise of his betterhalf susan njeri. The matterial wedding day nov /27/ 99 in wandageya, kampala, uganda. The singer is very worried in the church waiting for the bride.finally the bells rings and the bride is ushered in, looking like an angel. The worries are gone and finally there both says we do.

Twandana nawe[when we fell in love]"Twandane nawe ndiuragiri mundu"ie when we became loves i never killed anyone automatically we just became lovers. Here again the singers sites about the jealousy that is experienced when two are in love. Here he caution his love to be weary of such."kurwo ni mundu tutingiahikania kereke mwendwa tumereri thina"If it were for people we couldn't have married so let as be strong and forge ahead.

Serah Gathoni. This is love gone soar."Atumia na iguru matimenyagerwo mbura ni iuraga arata gutari matu."women are like skies very unpredictable it rains even with no sign of the clouds. After seven yrs the singer is jilted and gathoni get married by another men.So we were many and i had no crue he explodes.Ileft my house on fire just to go and stops someone else's from burning.Anyway go well and good luck i will also find someone for my life.

jp is very dismayed by the music piracy and illegal banning of the cds dvd etc this is a sorce of killing the music industry and killing the musician morale. He urge the companies ie SONNY etc to come up with a device{master cd} that only the producer can be able to make cds and distribute them to wholesales. The master cd should have a password similar to ATM CARDS and without the password no one else should be able to copy the music except the producer.

UPDATE;ON DEC /27/2002 KENYA HELD IT'S THIRD MUILTYPARTY ELECTION HENCE THE RULING PARTY KANU WAS HUMILATED IN THE POLLS AND NARC UNDER MWAI KIBAKI WON WITH A LANDSLIDE.THE QUETION OF [ITUIKA]IN NDIKWENDA KIGAGWA HAS ALREADY BEING ANSWERED.
