Album Notes
Florida’s Jimmy Parrish & The Ocean Waves Band brings you their 2007 CD release, “Let’s Go Fishin’”, an all-original collection of island tunes that’ll take you on a musical cruise down to the Bahamas, then further on down to the islands of the Caribbean.

After years of spending several months out at sea performing on cruise ships along with many frequent voyages to the vast islands of the Bahamas, Jimmy’s fascination and love for the ocean and island life has been captured in the music of “Let’s Go Fishin”.

In addition to innovative, contemporary trop-rock island tunes like “Where’s the Tequila”, you’ll hear good ‘ol fishing music in the title track, “Let’s Go Fishin’” inspired by the many days and nights in Marsh Harbour, Abacos. Reggae more your style? You’ll get a healthy dose in “Caribbean Jerk”. Authentic Latin comes to life in the intricate upbeat instrumental “Manana `en Madrid”, charming island ballads like “The Promenade", and even a little southern influence in “Here Today Gone Tomorrow”. A delightful variety of musical styles that’ll have you itching to jump on a boat and head to the islands!

If you like Buffett-style island music, then this one's a must-have for playing on the boat, around the pool, outside on the deck, or anywhere you feel inclined to fire up the blender.

Downloads are a good value plus you get your music right then and there. Before you make this purchase however, consider getting the actual CD. It contains all the sing-along lyrics, plus you’ll get to meet the band as well as check out some really cool tropical landscape photos straight from the islands. It’ll be worth the wait!

This CD is also available for download on iTunes!

Jimmy Parrish and the Ocean Waves Band have brought Trop-Rock back to the forefront of the music world. The CD “Let’s Go Fishing” is a fresh taste of what made Jimmy Buffet famous. My three favorite songs are “Ocean Waves”,” Where’s The Tequila” and the Latin/Flamenco style tune “Manana en Madrid”. The guitar work of Dustin Barber is fabulous on this piece .

Let's Go Fishin'
Echoing other reviews, it is rare that I buy a CD that I enjoy each and every song. It is always a pleasure to stumble across a gem like this CD. This is as Trop-Rock as it gets and should really be considered a must have for all hard core Parrot Heads. I know I am eagerly awaiting the next CD from Jimmy!

As a member of both Parrothead Clubs in Jacksonville, Fl, I have been involved in the hiring and scouting of musical talent for the club parties and Charity events over the last several years. Jimmy Parrish and his band have always been a top notch Buffett cover band for our events and for several clubs throughout Florida and the Southeast. Now they have stepped up to the big leagues of music with a high quality very professionally produced CD full of great original "Island Music". I have acquired original CD's by over 30 Trop Rock artist from all over the country and heard several more and this CD by The Ocean Waves Band is second to none. It's a mixture of laid back island tunes, upbeat beach dance, reggae, southern rock and a kickbutt spanish guitar tune by lead guitarist, Dusty Barber. Jimmy Parrishes smooth vocals fit this style of music perfectly and the talented fingers of lead guitarist Dust barber create a sound that blends perfectly with the steel drums and other background instruments included on various songs. If you like Kenny Chesney, Jimmy Buffett or Jim Morris you will love this CD. The only thing better is hearing the band in person. This CD will make you want to kick back in your backyard by the pool and dream of sailing the Caribbean.

What a fun and relaxing CD that really does put you in vacation mode somewhere in the islands. My favorites are as follows: Track 4 "Promenade" -- smooth and silkly. Track 7 "Manana en Madrid" -- a classy instrumental that rocks...unbelievable guitar work!. Track 8 "Chasin' This Dream"...this song literally reminds me of slow rocking motion on a boat...a good song to sway dance on the deck with your partner. And track 9, Island Mojo -- you can't listen to this song and not wanna tap to the beat...a must hear for everyone.
