Sutra Head

by Jude Gwynaire

An explosion of sound, featuring flute, panpipes and bells over a 'Floyd-like’ organ riff meshed with slices of electronica. It's the kind of track that echoes through the arcades in a John Carpenter movie. DOWNLOAD FOR FREE!

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
'This guy earned a slot on my 'electro' jukebox with his previous album, ‘Neostatic’. 'Sutra Head' chases the trajectory into more intimate territory, but keeps the same sense of scale. It's a big, wrap-around sound, featuring flute, panpipes and bells over a 'Floyd-like’ organ riff laced with pockets of electronica. There's also an excellent synthy voice part that joins the track near the end and fades it out. Sutra Head is new age, hippy and electronic all rolled into one'

Hypnotic
Ambient grooves - very nice.

Catchy! A good buy!

Amanda

Nice ambient pop.
Cool, would like to hear more.

Mary Ed

Trippy!
Fantastic!

Lizzy Wong

Wow!
Clean, metropolitan vibe. Definitely urban and reaching for something. The kind of track that echoes thru the arcades in a John Carpenter movie. It's more 'Escape from New York' than 'Halloween', but you get the idea! It's all the way New Age and neon lit. Modern hippy meets Tangerine Dream, Jethro Tull, Pink Floyd, Vangelis and Kitaro!

Meli Greenberg

Weird but nice!
You won't be disappointed...this is a great work.

John Marlow

Govinda-like.
If CD Baby would let me, I would give Sutra Head eleven stars. Never mind the fact that it's not the most accessible of Jude's tracks, I can't even say with conviction that it's his best work. But what I do know for certain is that Jude's reputation for musical radicalism, avant-garde experiments, and free sound structure, is almost entirely based on tracks such as this.

Susi Allen

Enjoyed it!
Instrumental ambient pop at its best.

Dana Fleetwood

Awesome!
This is an awesome sound - I love how the flutes and pan pipes mesh with the more heavy background beat.
