Album Notes
PLEASE NOTE: This Voice Training CD Set is to be used in conjunction with the book "Sing Like the Stars" only. It is NOT a "stand-alone" training course...if you have already purchased "Sing Like the Stars," this set will provide all the exercises in the book in a recorded format - in five vocal key ranges! There is very little speaking on the CDs, as they are set up to make practice convenient for the vocalist.

All exercises on this set were part of the late Maestro David Kyle's vocal training program.

As a recognized lyricist and songwriter, Judy has five CDs and over 20 songs to her credit. In addition to a solo singing career, Judy was a member of The Harmony Belles, Java & Jive and various community choirs. She has performed for veterans’ groups, senior centers, sporting events, weddings, memorial services and talent shows. She was the featured vocalist for the Montana Mother’s Day Tea and participated at the Star Search competition in Los Angeles, California.

Judy is also the author of three renowned books: “Reach for the Stars,” a compilation of voice techniques for singers; “Speech and Diction,” a widely used teaching book for families and medical professionals who deal with those suffering from Parkinson’s disease; “Speech and Diction for Professional Speakers,” a comprehensive vocal training kit for public speakers and actors.

A native of Montana, Judy began her career in music during grade school and continued her formal musical education under the tutelage of Maestro David Kyle. Now living on the Olympic Peninsula, Judy divides her time between performing, writing, recording and taking care of her family. She is currently writing a children’s book and working on her "Books on CD" project, a collection of stories for young readers with music and sound effects.

Official training includes:

6 years voice lessons under the tutelage of Maestro David Kyle. Instructed in breathing, Lutgen/Vaccai, pitch, projection, performance and presentation, and life skills.

3 years piano lessons (Josephine Gardner)
The Music Business (Kingdom Child Moody)
Acting/Monologue Seminar (Duk-Lit Productions)
Jazz Clinic (Ernie Watts and Lew Soloff)
