Album Notes
Jul3ia Richard is a two-time Emmy award winning indie singer-songwriter with a classical twist. Originally part of an acapella trio, Jul3ia started her musical career as a high soprano. Insisting that "altos were cooler," she spent years developing her lower range to the point where she can now sing tenor without the neighbors complaining. Her influences range from greats such as the Beatles and Paul Simon, to smaller indie groups like Guster and Die Prinzen. Choir-In-A-Box is Jul3ia's first (mostly) acapella Christmas album, released due to the overwhelming popularity of Jul3ia's Christmas carol videos, which can be found on YouTube. One of her most traditional efforts, Choir-In-A-Box was designed to sound, as Jul3ia says, "like a gaggle of Dickensian Christmas carolers just showed up. You'd better have some hot cocoa for them!"
