ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Juni's long awaited second album takes her listeners on the next leg of the journey west. "Sideshow Romance" will have you headed to the midway with a waltz in your heart. Ever wonder what happened when Betsy from Pike's rooster ran off? Think Billy the Kid's mother was proud of her infamous son? The arrangements of Fisher's second release showcase her doing what she does best: blending song effortlessly with stories that deliver satisfying twists. With Tom Russell's blessing, she includes her sequel to his famous "Gallo del Cielo".Tom reported "Cool, I like it, well done." The rest of the quote can be found on the CD's cover art.
One fan wrote:"I feel like you have written the journey of my life through your songs..."
Certainly, as audiences become acquainted with Fisher and her definitive song writing style, they become fans. You will too.

Sideshow Romance
This CD is superb! I would recommend it to anyone with an interest in Western songs. The little stories are a treat to listen to.

Pretty darn nice pipes... and fun too.
Funny, but thoughful. Hopeful, and more hopeful, and down right off the charts. Hike up your dress and run for the sage! Juni's stories are great the first time, and get better and better with repeats. (I've almost worn out my rooster track with the repeat button.) More please?!

Juni Fisher you have done it again a great CD
If youJuni Fisher buy Juni Fisher's Tumbleweed Letters then do not miss Sideshow Romance, you will love it.

Female Country Vocalist of 05. Don't miss this one
Could be even better than Tumbleweed Letters. I especially liked The Dog, and The Pig, Ike and Betsy and Me. As is said try it, you will like it. Great gift too.

"A refreshing collection, beautifully done"
"In case you haven't heard Juni Fisher in concert or you missed her last CD, she has remarkable talents, both as a singer and a songwriter. You get a full dose of both on this new CD! There are 12 songs on this acoustic album, all originals except for a couple of traditional songs that take us back to some of the Irish roots of Western music.
But it's her her own compositions that impress me most. One picks up where "Sweet Betsy From Pike" leaves off, but from the perspective of the rooster! Cute lyrics, great melody and rythym, delightful all the way around. Another favorite is a balled called "Blue-eyed Saddle Tramp," and still another is the album's closing track, a wish for a "Well Traveled Trail." There are plenty of others that are sure to please, like the story of Billy the Kid's mother. And whether you know Tom Russell's "Gallo del Cielo" or not, you'll sit on the edge of your seat in anticipation of the ending of Juni's new "Ghost of del Cielo." Her "He'd Be Home By Now" follows the theme of real life for women on the frontier, a theme she's written about before.
A refreshing collection, beautifully done.

Spellbinding talent...
Juni Fisher is superb - superb vocalist with a clear and evocative voice range, superb guitar player and most compelling of all, a gifted and incredible lyricist. As good as she is on traditional songs, her original pieces are the real reasons to collect her work. Singer/songwriters like Juni are rare - and to be treasured when found. This is a wonderful collection, though not all original like Tumbleweed Letters. But you gotta have both!

Angie

Another masterpiece
The more I hear Juni Fisher, the more her storytelling talent blows me away. I just love her!

Sideshow Romance - Juni Fisher tells us how the West was really won.
Sideshow Romance is a delight to hear. Juni Fisher has the soul of a poet and this comes through in all her songs. Her songs make you think about what she has sung. This CD is the work of an artist, in deed!

Another great one fromn Juni
This album has slightly simpler accompaniment than TUMBLEWEED LETTERS, & a few more 'Irish' (or Irish-theme)
songs. But that shouldn't put you off. Wonderful mix of
ballads & story songs & a nice, funny sequel to "Sweet Betsy of Pike" :). My favorite though is her sequel to Tom
Russell's great "Gallo de Cielo," & Juni's is just as
great. If you like slightly 'historical' folk, Celtic or Western songs (or say, singers like Connie Dover or Maura O'Connell), or just fine singing, I recommend it. Wonderful stuff.
