ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
NEWS!!! Gone For Colorado has just been named the 2009 Western Music Association Album of the Year, and was also the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum's Wrangler Award Winner for Most Outstanding Traditional Western Album of 2008! It's a first for an Independently produced and released record label, and Juni is the first woman ever to win this most prestigious of awards for Western music. Juni capped off 2009 by winning the Western Music Association Female Performer of the year, and was in the top five for Entertainer of the Year.

"Juni Fisher has made her mark in the world of Western Music as a writer of rich story songs, with her first three releases, Tumbleweed Letters, Sideshow Romance, and Cowgirlography.

Gone For Colorado has been called her finest release yet. With co-production credits going to the notable Rich O'Brien, and songs from the legendary Ian Tyson, and Gary McMahon to fill out the already strong selection of Juni's all new originals, Gone For Colorado takes a musical journey few dare to take.

The Wrangler Award from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum has now assured that "Gone For Colorado" will have a well deserved place in Western History.

Gone to Colorado
My husband and I recently had the priviledge to meet Juni Fisher in person. She is first and foremost one of the best Story Tellers I have ever heard. We were fortunate enough to be up close and personal with her and she is not only a truly talented person she is also a very kind and generous one as well. She took the time to talk with us and share memories together.

Her Gone to Colorado CD is such a personal look
into her heratige and what a fine job she does of telling us about it. She performed a mix of different songs from CD's and before each song she tells us of the inspiration she gets and how she comes to tell that particular story.

If you do not own a Juni Fisher CD I encourage you to buy one. It is well worth the money and this lady has the voice of an angel!

Thanks Juni for making our evening one of our most memorable and delightful events.

Gone For Colorado
Another great CD by Juni Fisher. She sure makes the miles go by faster when on the road.

A Western-Folk Masterpiece
What a marvelous CD, GONE FOR COLORADO! There is nothing lacking. It is everything that defines a folk-western masterpiece. It’s a story project laced with poignant vignettes; a marriage of lyrics and melodies that will stir the heart strings, delivered with a voice that would make the angels jealous. Juni Fisher is unique as a song writer and a master of the craft. Take the time to listen to this CD when it’s perfectly quiet with no distractions. It’s a journey back in time, an emotional experience. For me it was a sacred one. The world of Western Music can thank God for Juni Fisher.
Sincerely,
Jack Hannah

An Incredible Journey
From the ashes of lost family histories, rises the phoenix of stories untold. In her newest release, “Gone for Colorado”, Juni Fisher takes the listener on an incredible journey of determination, heartache and eventual triumph that chronicles the life of a young cowboy (her great grandfather) in his quest to make it in the West. Juni does her ancestors proud in this project with amazing songwriting and her angelic voice, all the while surrounded by the best musicians in the business. Inspiring! Juni Fisher does her part… and if the rest of us let die the histories of our forefathers, shame on us all.

Absolutely Her Best
"OK ... I'll admit it .. I'm a big fan of Juni Fisher .. have been since I first heard her years ago. And yes, she's won all the important awards her peers can bestow .. because she's deserved them.
Juni's new CD is absolutely the best she's ever done ! Call it luck that started a personal search for the true story about her family. Call it brilliant that she'd put the pieces together into a cohesive story-line. Call Rich O'Brien's production efforts masterful (and superb harmony from Patty Clayton is only part of the magic!) I said, I'm a big fan .. call it a character flaw if you will ...I think she's fabulous." Bill Barwick, Denver, CO The "Voice" of the Encore Western Channel, 2005 AWA Male Performer of the Year

"I Was Blown Away!"
As a DJ, I look forward to receiving new CD's and to looking for a song here and there that I can play on my show. Margo Metagrano, editor of www.cowboypoetry.com asked if I had the new Juni Fisher CD, and said it was great. I waited for my copy and I was blown away with the music, the story, the stylings, the lyrics, and the way the lilting melodies carried me from happy to sad. My wife PJ was crying over Emma and I understood why. This is a MUST have for everyone's library. I've never received so many phone calls at my radio show. Juni's voice is as lovely as she is and that means it's beyond angelic. A family history that's told by one of the best performers I've ever heard. I predict this CD will win many awards and it should. If you're not a Juni Fisher fan yet you will be. Dallas McCord 2007 Small Market DJ of the year. Cowboy Culture Corner 1400AM KNND

Gone For Colorado
Recently had the pleasure of seeing Juni Fisher perform in person for the first time. Now I've got 3 of her albums, and all are great, but this is the best yet. Fantastic storytelling set to music. She has a wonderful gift to be able to write this music then perform it so well. If you have the opportunity to see her in person you won't be disappointed, but if not, then buy this album. Thank you Juni Fisher for a wonderful evening, and some great albums. Walter Wien
