From Just Awesome Karaoke - The Future Of Professional Performance Tracks!
Hi, I'm Jamie Aaron Kelley. I've been a huge Elvis fan my whole life, and for over twenty-three years I shared my great love for Elvis Presley's music by giving tribute performances all over the world. In 1999, I set a world record by singing every song Elvis was ever recorded doing (800+) - from memory. I'm very blessed that, in my time doing tribute shows, I was the lead of a million-dollar EPE-licensed show, as well as recreating an entire live performance in conjunction and cooperation with a CD release by BMG/RCA (Elvis' record label, now owned by Sony). That all may sound like bragging, but I mention all of it to say this - like many of you, I have a passion for Elvis' music.
As big fans of Elvis music, you're like me. When you know the song so well, each instrumental lick of Elvis' original is like a cue for when you sing, and when those cues aren't there, it can be very frustrating. There's a large difference between "better than other tracks" and "makes you feel like you're singing with the record." Those instrumental parts have to be there, they have to sound right and have the right timing - or the flow is gone, right?
That's why I started Just Awesome Karaoke. As a labor of love for music I have such a great passion for. As expensive as professional performance tracks are these days, you should get quality. You should be able to trust that when you buy or pre-order a product, you'll get quality tracks from a dedicated group of people who really care about getting it right. People like Cliff Wright, an amazing musician and artist with a keen ear for recreating music, who has teamed up with me for this- along with Al Babyok, Marc Edelstein, Dani Brickman and others who are also such a huge help in making these recordings sound as close as they do. Each song is recreated to the timing of the original recording as well, making it that much easier to feel at home when you use them or play them.
For us, it doesn't even stop at getting the music right. We've consulted with the same folks at Sony/BMG who mastered and restored Elvis' original masters and outtakes for the newest releases - like the Elvis FTD label and the limited edition "The Complete Masters" 36-CD set. We've invested not only our time, but over $40,000 (yes, literally) in instruments, as well as retro and/or vintage mixing and mastering equipment to match those used on the original recordings because those are important to the sound as well.
All of that sounds pretty big, right? It is - and like I just said, it's expensive. We have a passion for this, and it's our goal to - eventually - cover EVERY song Elvis did, as well as other artists like Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and more.
Our passion for this is great, but it isn't enough. We're dedicated, but we're a VERY small label. We need YOUR passion. Your support. Our goal is to give quality at the same or lower prices than those who can't/don't/won't give you the quality we do. We need fans, performers and tribute artists to tell EVERYONE - help us spread the word about these tracks because we'd rather spend money on getting the songs right than advertising them. We cannot reach our goals without your support.
