ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Raised on a humble cotton farm in Texas, Kaitlyn Cannon used her wide-open surroundings to influence her songwriting. At a young age she would fill the quiet of the country by playing piano, but it was not until she got her first guitar that she became passionate about writing songs. Her style quickly evolved into a mix of acoustic, folk, and soul, due to favorite artists such as Linda Ronstadt, Jenny Lewis, and Stevie Nicks. Five years later, Kaitlyn got a spot performing at a local bar’s “All Originals Night.” Even though she was only twenty years old at the time, it became a weekly venue where she could share her music. At the beginning of 2010, Kaitlyn moved to Nashville, TN to pursue a degree in Songwriting at Belmont University. As a recent graduate she is proud to release her debut album, "Cannonballed."
