Album Notes
Songwriters, Karen Caruthers & Billy Inselmann, collaborated with an All Star cast of local St. Pete musicians in creating an album that’s “just right!” Starting with the soulful southern sounds of R&B singer/musician, Dave Cotten, and the NYC sound of Karen, “Brother Ray” pays tribute to Ray Charles. “On Central Avenue” pays homage to the Blues & Jazz jams of the St. Pete music scene. “Ditches” features Dave’s vocals, Joel Brodsky’s bowed string bass & Karen’s haunting classical piano. Other highlights include the percussions of Jimmy Pillucere on “Moonlight Caravan,” Tommy McCoy’s vocals & rockabilly guitar on “Rock Jam Boo,” a song about “Yogisms,” that also includes the outstanding rhythm section of bassist Mike Chavers, drummer Chuck Bosselmann & Georges Gallandre’s incredible Sax! Produced by Earl “the Pearl” Bucko at Sack O Woe studio. Earl added great vocals on “Catchin’ Some Rays” a song about our favorite baseball team.

“On Central Avenue includes killer vocals & sax by Dave Cotten”- Rick Crandall, DJ at
