ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Katalina Tausinga Kinley grew up on a small tropical kingdom of islands nestled in the South Pacific, the "Friendly Islands" of Tonga. She was born and raised in the village of Ma'ufanga on the mainland of Tongatapu for 23 years before she was whisked away by her current husband of 30+ years. Her passions in life came through in music and dance and because of her creative mind she's been writing music for 20 years. Having left the islands so young, you can hear the yearning for her homeland in these songs. Aptly titled, "Manatu Ki 'Api", or "Reminiscing about Home", this music is a collection of her love for her husband & family, her love for Tonga, and her love for God. Enjoy the serenading sounds of her brother Liuakimeiloma on guitar and Katalina on rhythm and vocals.
