Album Notes
Homespun is my third solo album. I loved making this album because it is just me and my guitar and my stories-no one else.....well, I take that back, Thaddeus Moore, my engineer and friend did some mouth music on one track. But for the most part, it is just me. The sound is simple and I think it really allows people to hear the poetry and the stories as well as the nature of my voice. Homespun is a concept album...it was born out of 2 years of travel and living on the Oregon Coast. The album explores home both literally and figuratively. Through the writing of these songs, I have found home within myself, with my partner and have literally found a home i love in the southwest hills of Portland Oregon. I performed the songs for this album quite a bit last winter as a part of a one woman show that I presented in intimate venues. I am looking forward to releasing this album officially in Portland this fall. I hope you enjoy it.

Depth and Compassion
There aren't a lot of singer-songwriters who can carry off a solo "just me and my guitar" gig for an entire album - but Kathryn is surely one such artist. Her vocal stylings are always intriguing, her lyrics are captivating and her delivery never fails to evoke compassion and longing and a sense of wanting to hear more. Thanks! I'm so happy I discovered your music, Kathryn!
