ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
"Kelly Llewellyn's one of the new breed of talented rising stars on the country scene who
are taking our music forward into the 21st Century by attracting a passionate new audience..."
Susan Jarvis, Capital News

Kelly Llewellyn... the story so far

To see her perform live is an extraction of excitement, unbounded energy & youthfulness that grasps your attention and won't let go. To hear her sing is a pleasant wake up call to the dream that she is currently living. To come face to face, she shakes your hand & without words, warmly invites you to continue on the journey you have already made so far...

Kelly Llewellyn is inventing her own brand of music… We call it her own brand, but really it is an appealing breath of fresh air into the country music scene of Australia. Along the road to successes, Kelly has come a long way. And she admits she still has a long way to go.

In the short time she has been around, this confident and friendly Beaudesert Qld girl has certainly established a name for herself amongst the country music community. Along with performances at the Gympie Muster, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Mud Bulls & Music and Fraser Island Fishing Expo, Kelly has travelled Australia wide with the legendary Brian Young Show, spending over an incredible 5 months on the road. In that time, she has gained valuable & priceless showmanship & entertainment professionalism.

Kelly is a Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist and a finalist in the Mildura Australian Independent Country Music Awards for Rising Star with her single “The Place”. Quite an achievement already as her first year running with her debut EP ‘Where You Are’. “‘Where You Are’ was my introduction to the big world as a performer… And it was the start of something new and exciting” Kelly admits. “It’s my brag subject… something to show people what I am good at!”

Along with the success of ‘Where You Are”, The EP gained national recognition by placing in the Top 5 of EP Of the Year Award in the Tasmanian and New Zealand Awards. The second single “Crying My Heart Out” also charted at number 6 on the Top 100 Country Charts, and scooped the Best Recorded Song Category at the TSA South-East Queensland Awards. The EP was also a finalist in the Tasmanian-New Zealand Awards for ‘EP Of the Year’. Further success in this performers recording is likely to follow…

At late, Kelly has released her debut funky-country album 'ME' which is creating a stir. With 11 powerful tracks, Me is described as 'full of great songs, slick production standards and exciting sounds... Kelly's distinctive, husky voice has the capacity to pack a huge emotional punch" as quoted by Susan Jarvis, Capital News.
