ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
The Kelly Project combines the refreshing sound of tight JB-style horns with funky R&B, and the infusion of spicy vocals elevates the music to a rarefied air reserved for the greats of the game. “Champagne Skirt” comes on like Kool & The Gang and the horn hits will get you ready to boogie down like there's no tomorrow. “Been In Love Before” has a Blind Faith feel to it, and the vibrato guitars have a magic unto themselves.

A flute pops in and out of the mix, like a mischievous fish. “Katmandu” is nothing at all like the Bob Seger classic of the same name. The tribal elements wash over the listener in waves, and the percussion is heavenly. “Leave Me Now” combines elements of Frank Zappa with Herb Alpert and the horn breakdown towards the end is incredible. Come discover the remaining four songs for yourselves.

Unique style that anyone likes
This band is amazing with all their instruments. It all blends in with the talented songwriting. You can't go wrong buying their CD. It's worth every cent. They are the greatest mix of jazz and rock you will find.

CD Baby

Like stepping before a fun house mirror of influences from sassy jam band to old school r&b soul and funk to squishy 80's pop to Simply Red to Ben Folds flair, to even a bit of Sting wailing, this is a decadent smorgasbord of musical brews. With solid vocals to carry the band through everything from acoustic to electric, you might as well give up on the "soundslike" as I did, and just enjoy the Kelly Project for the unusually fresh and fulfilling sound they deliver with conviction.

Just plain fun to listen to
It took until the second time I played this CD to come around to it, and I have the feeling I was later than most. If you're looking for something different, definitely pick up The Kelly Project. You won't be disappointed.

Absolutely Love It!
Absolutely love the CD! I'm a big fan of groups with horn lines, and these guys do it all. Funk, rock, world, whatever. It's absolutely great! Buy this CD!!

I saw these guys at a local festival in Port Jefferson and was completely mesmorized! So much so that I bought their CD on the spot, and absolutely love it, which is rare for me to love an entire CD. "All My Love" is my favorite song, and I play it when I need a lift.

Excellent, excellent band, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from them.
