His father and grandfather both were Guitarist, and his uncles loved the Cuatro Guitar, (A Puerto Rican String folk instrument) his grandmother was a songwriter and composer for trio music.
KENNY began his musical career in Puerto Rico as a percussionist. After moving to Florida, Kenny followed his inner voice and growing love for the Baby Bass creating a professional and talented Band known as Orquesta Brava. Kenny is now performing on the acoustic upright Bass with Orquesta Brava at the finest clubs, television performances and events in Florida.

Kenny Quintero & Orquesta Brava consists of 12 musicians who perform Salsa, Merengue, Bolero, Cumbia and Latin Jazz professionally. Singing for Orquesta Brava are Bruno Miranda, Victor Del Rosario(Ex-Vocalist For Hector Lavoe) and Tito Sanchez (Ex-Vocalist For Macambila Band).

Kenny's talents and influences trace back to his roots and admiration for Puerto Rican music and many great musicians, like Hector Lavoe, Tito Puente, Bobby Valentin, Cachao, Eddie Guagua and other musicians that Kenny has worked along side like Flute Master Nestor Torres, which also has recorded with Orquesta Brava and is featuring in our CD Production: Rosas En Fuego, also featuring on this recording is percussionist legend Edgardo Morales (Internationally known for his recording El Timbalero with El Gran Combo) Another great influence for this album is the work done by Lefty Perez on vocals, among other great musicians, Robert Navarro on piano and many others. Kenny composed, wrote, and arranged the CD. Also available for recording, Bravo Recording Studio owned by Kenny Quintero and Orquesta Brava with Pro-Tools Digital Recording System.

I would like to dedicate this very special Album "SOY HIJO DE UN PUEBLO LATINO" to my fans,LATIN people every where throughout the world, and to my beloved mother JUDITH SOSA MERCADO who like my self was born in PUERTO RICO and I keep close in my heart.
