Album Notes
As a follow up to my 2005 record, "Justice", I wanted to write and record a couple more tribute songs, but I also wanted to rock out a bit with songs like "Come Take My Hand", and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love".

As on "Justice", I performed all the vocals, played all the instruments, and recorded "Voice of Freedom" myself at my home studio in Mccomb, Ms. A couple of local sound engineers told me I was full of it when I told them I did this record myself at home! In a funny way, I guess it was a compliment.

Eric Howse, a talented guitar player, and in his own right, a gifted songwriter, added some rhythum guitar on "Can't Get Enough", and did a heck of a job.

One of the first songs I ever wrote, "Voice of Freedom" is the title track on this record. After all the songs I have written and recorded, I still feel that this song stands out as one of my best.

To all who listen to my music, thank you very much!

I like this CD even better than "Justice"
Thanks for giving me a copy of your CD's. I really liked Justice, but this one really hit home with me. You rule, dude! Thanks again.

You show alot of range and diversity and this cd. Really cool! Keep it rolling.

i like your music.
i am a poet but i got no musical talent. you can do both. so i gotta give you props. good songs man.

Way to go, Ken!!!! How do you keep coming up with these songs? I wish I had that talent. I know good music when I hear it. If a record can make me laugh on one song, and then cry on the next, then that is a good record. "Voice of Freedom" evoked many different emotions. Looking forward to getting a copy of "Justice". YOU ROCK!!!!

good songs
i really like your songwriting and your voice. if i have one beef, it is that you used too many effects on your vocals. you have a good voice and you deliver your vocals well. you don't need all those effects. otherwise, this is a fine cd that i have enjoyed listening to. your folks need to check out what ken is doing. he is a talented man.

Good music!
I can tell you wrote these songs straight from your heart. That is why I gravitate toward independent artists.....big time artists put out what they think will sell, independents put out music that means something. You are very talented! "Voice of Freedom" is as good as any tribute song out there.

sherman (from the benefit show)

I really enjoyed seeing you play at the benefit. It takes alot of guts to get up there and play your own songs solo. Loved your new one 'until it's written in stone'. but man, i really love voice of freedom. my brother in law is over there now. that song really hits home. hope to see you play again soon. told some friends of mine about your music. haven't found a person yet who doesn't like it. you got some fans in gloster boy...i'll tell you that!

You are a beautiful talented musician. You always have been . I can hear the your love, pain and life and love of BRUCE in your influence, but it is you at the core Ken. WAY TO GO!! Tina

wonderful, well crafted and produced songs!!
this is quite simply a fine record. i loved the title track "voice of freedom" and was deeply moved by the wistful love song "everytime". love the harmonica and organ on "come take my hand'!! i was astounded that ken, one guy, did this record by himself! great need to buy this record!
