From his early Lakota influences and from his extended world family Kevin has learned how we each draw from our individual heritages to create a vibrant, evolving global civilization, embracing and celebrating our collective heritage. While clearly expressing his Lakota tradition he also draws from deep wellsprings of other tribal and global knowledge distilled over many generations. With this depth of engagement his music offers a profound sense of the universality of human spirit and its inclination toward harmony, balance, beauty, peace, and the sacred. It is this universal spirit that Kevin embraces in his music, stories, humor, dances, workshops, and lectures.

They are sung for the animals and in ceremonies to Eagle and Thunder, connecting the people to the sacred through sound.
