Kevin Michael Gray has something to say. And whether it’s your first time experiencing the land behind his music or your thousandth time on a journey through the melodic wavelengths of his songs, one thing’s for sure: time will be an after thought.
Born and raised in a small gospel town just outside Raleigh, North Carolina Kevin honed in his skills as a poet, musician, and artist. After 15 years of building tree houses and water gun fights on the East Coast his parents decided to caravan to the desert land of Phoenix, Arizona and help another family plant a church. After the very first church meeting the original worship leader decided the position was not for him and at only 15 years of age Kevin stepped into his calling as a worship leader.
The summer after Kevin graduated high school (2002) an opportunity came for him to lead worship at a Vineyard church in Malibu, California (where Jason Wade from Lifehouse got his start).
Since moving to Los Angeles, Kevin has worked with some of the industry’s largest names including: Gene Shivley (The Rolling Stones, Prince), Billy Smiley (Grammy Nominated Producer, Amy Grant, White heart, Justifide, Newsboys), Mike Busbee (Liz Phair, Switchfoot, Smash Mouth), Tom Lillo (Kate Miner, Lifehouse) and many other talented professionals.
“My heart is for people; the hurting, the healed, business class, artists, young, old, and in between FOR EVERYONE to experience the freedom that we all have access to when we worship our creator together, in unity.”
Having just recorded a new independent worship album entitled ‘Gospel Songs,’ KMG is ready yet again to share his intrinsic, smoothly poetic songs, and heart with this world.
- Kevin has had the opportunity to lead thousands of young people into the presence of God. He is currently serving at the Dream Center in Los Angeles.
