Mindful and compassionate attention to the various layers of the physical, egoic and spiritual self is the beginning of finding peace within and fostering an optimal environment for healing in the body. Writer and yoga/meditation instructor Kim Cope Tait's meditations are for the beginner, as well as for the experienced practitioner.
Lotus Wheel: Guided Meditations for Relaxation and Healing is a series of guided meditations, each addressing one of the seven chakras. They can be used individually or together in sequence for an extended practice. For each meditation, Kim incorporates the relevant color, element and seed sound in guiding the listener through a rich landscape of imagery and languaging to balance and nurture the qualities associated with that chakra.
Kim Cope Tait has been practicing yoga/meditation for fifteen years and teaching it for twelve, in studios, at schools, and in private homes and resorts. She is a certified yoga instructor, an M.F.A. in Writing, and a trained doula. Her poetry and prose have appeared in literary journals and magazines in the U.S. and abroad, and she is the author of Element, a chapbook of poems, and Inertia, a novel.
