Inner Coaching produces products and programs for professionals, educator and parents to help children deal with and conquer stress in their lives. The ability to deal with stress, issues of self-esteem and attitudes is key to our happiness as adults. However, we often overlook the fact that children face these same challenges at the most critical development stages in their lives.
Inner Coaching was established in 1992 with a mission of providing creative programs and materials for parents, educators and others directly involved in the development of healthy children. Inner Coaching materials and activities address stress and stress management techniques, self-esteem and positive thinking.
Experts estimated that up to 75% of all medical disorders are directly influenced by stress. While most research on stress centers around adult behavior, we feel that children, especially in today's society, have many potential fears and anxieties. Psychologists have noted that since 9/11, the increased pressure for high stakes testing in our schools, and the war in Iraq children presenting to mental health clinics with complaints of anxiety disorders have increased dramatically. By promoting a healthy, active imagination, openness to learning and positive self-esteem, we can equip children to understand and cope with stressful situations. Our research shows that the use of combining muscle relaxation, music and story telling can give children techniques to recognize stress in their lives and take a positive approach to self-understanding and long-term personal growth. The Ready, Set, Release CD has helped countless children overcome undue anxiety by teaching them the skill of relaxation.
