ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kodiak Hibernates! is the first full length from the PA-based indie rock outfit. Drawing influences from early REM, The New Pornographers, Elliott Smith, and others, this record represents a springboard from which the band pursues the fringes of 21st Century lo-fi recording techniques and classic melodic hooks. The band expects a follow-up by early 2009.

A great start!
This is a band I've been following for a long time, and it's great to finally hear them on tape. Home recording means not every bit of the record is pristine, but the hooks in these songs stay with you for weeks. The band has a new project, Rinoa, expected to release a record next year. Definitely check both out!
