ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kofi hails from Dominica, the “Nature Isle” of the Caribbean, and is one of the original, founding members of Roots, Stem & Branches (RSB Band). Between 1983 and 2000, RSB released 10 albums that feature reggae, soca and zouk, the native music of Dominica. RSB toured extensively, playing in Canada, England, and throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean islands. RSB opened for numerous artists including Ziggy Marley, Bunny Wailer, Culture, Dennis Brown, and Shinehead. Since settling in Chicago in 2003, Kofi has performed throughout the Chicagoland area and the Midwest. In recent years, he has devoted his music writing and performance skills to the genre he is most passionate about: roots reggae. Kofi dazzles audiences with his joyful, energetic style, and his conscious lyrics. His performances uplift people and encourage the celebration of life. Kofi’s long-awaited debut solo CD features all-original tracks reminiscent of roots reggae's glory days, combined with a fresh, contemporary sound.
