ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Kouji Sh'tara is a pianist, composer and also music producer.
Born and raised in a talented musical family. Sh'tara is nephew of world famous composer Toru Takemitsu.

He started to take a piano lesson in 3 years old and to compose songs in early 5 years old.
After graduating from Kunitachi Music College in Japan, majoring in composition, he began his career as a pianist and composer.

Although Sh'tara began his career as a music producer too, he visited Los Angeles in 1971 and decided to stay there to study composition and music business. He worked at Creative Enterprise International, which is a company serving international production and coordination, as a music producer.
After 5 years' stay in Los Angeles, he came back to Japan and has dedicated his life to working as a music producer for several years.

Sh'tara released two his original albums as a pianist and composer. "La Musique" is his second album. It is piano solo instrumental music. Since his piano sound is so clear and mellow, it leads you to the meditative world. It features healing music to soothe the stressful life.

Love Lane Music

Sparkling and beautiful
My only complaint about this outstanding CD is that it's too short in length. A simply beautiful recording.
