ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
When The Evening Fades is a collection of solo piano pieces composed over the course of several years. The song names were chosen to chronologically follow the period of time between sunset and sunrise. The vivid colors Over The Sunset create the anticipation of a picturesque evening. Vesper, the evening star (usually Venus), is seen at dusk, while a peaceful atmosphere emerges. As the beautiful sky darkens, a gentle Night Breeze cools the face. The sunset has now disappeared from view, and the sky is filled with a new light, the Rising Moon. While the moon rises to the peak of the night, a clock chiming twelve times can be heard in the opening notes of Midnight. God’s handiwork goes Beyond The Stars in a striking contrast of light and dark colors. Words cannot describe the Contemplation of the evening wonder. Dancing Planets come alive with skillful choreography. A light mist falls as the Gathering Dew forms late in the evening. This dew glistens in the first light of day as Aurora dawns. The evening has faded and the day begins with delightful Morning Dreams, and hope of the future. Happy Listening!
