ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
This, my first cd, is a brief glimpse into the songs and styles that have made me the musician I am today.

You'll find a touch of Texas-style blues in each of the tracks whether they are heart-wrenching Cole Porter songs from the Great American Songbook to lush renditions, sung in Portuguese, of a Bossa Nova classic by Antonio Carlos Jobim.

I believe that the voice is simply another instrument in the ensemble - just one among the others from the piano to the bass and even the drums. They all speak - all work together - communicating in our unique language - music.

jean Morris Border Kreitzer Patterson!!!

Love the singing...question the "miking" or "mixing"
Personal preference is always involved in reviewing and mine needs the solo voice in front, hearing-wise....for the sake of the lyrics particularly .....this disc is a great example of contemporary musicianship....but clarity for the vocal artist is not the best.
