Album Notes
An amazing idea. The drummer is talking about Ron Paul and how he could make a difference while breaking up the monopoly that the ruling class has on everything. Many other things as well. Then he says, "Let's help him out by making a song for him." I think, "Yeah, that is a good idea!". But then it becomes apparent that the New Hampshire primary is VERY soon. (funny how the powers that be cut out Ron Paul out of the debates as well as Kucinich on the other side. Perhaps democracy is fixed in this country?)

This is one of the most important ones because it has the potential to set in motion a sense of electability despite the deep skepticism among most people. We add in the difficulty of making a video ass well!!

Now we have to put an entire CD together in a short period of time. I guess this means 18 hour days for quite a while. Next, the guy who says he is going to take care of the video says he DOESN'T have a camera. That costs a few more days. Now we have to do our own filming, learn editing while recording and mastering a ton of minutes. Fortunately there are some older tracks kicking around that need to be freshened up that help the load.

Well, it is always more work than you would think even then. Finally all of the physical gets out the door. (We have to scrap Salta and Commodity Bull because they just aren't in shape enough, but that is good because they fit better into the next project).

Desperate, a song that was written around the Kosovo mess, will have some of the questions raised musically and texturally answered in a later project that attends to the implications.

Book 'o' Virtues was inspired by events in the 80s. Probably no one remembers them but hopefully they will connect to the bigger picture which is timeless.

Poker Girl, Lost in Layton and Alien way were destined for their own CD but were called into duty for the time crisis.

Ron Paul for freedom
Ron Paul for all of us
Ron Paul we need him
Ron Paul to restore trust

Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul

We all are searching for prosperity
What helps the goal is to have real sound money
We don’t expect anything for free
But government should let us be

Bring out the hatchet to bureaucracy
On less money let’s make the government work
The vice presidents wife’s chief of staff
Requests that their dog is assigned a clerk

Ron Paul for freedom
Ron Paul for all of us
Ron Paul we need him
Ron Paul to restore trust

Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul Ron Paul

We need to see a true Democracy
Voters should not be so lax
Change away from this mediocrity
He will end income tax

The lobbyists are sending out their bribes
Deep secrecy is where they make the fight
A stronger country is the choice that we prescribe
Unlike some others he respects the bill of rights

Ron Paul for freedom
Ron Paul for all of us
Ron Paul we need him
Ron Paul to restore trust

Let’s slow the empire that’s across the sea
Overextend not our military
Close the department of redundancy
Repeat what works now, repeat it after me

Lost In Layton

Lost in Layton Maybe I can find a used car
Lost in Layton, a checkout clerk can be a super-star

Lost in Layton Maybe I can buy a candy bar
Lost in Layton Putting nickels in a pickle jar

I’m not used to all of this, I used to live in Montpelier
The stores aren’t very big but at least the rabbits care

I don’t want to be alone, it is so impersonal
Now I wish that I were home and all the city folk were dead

Lost in Layton Lost in Layton Lost in Layton

Some of them will honk as I fail to make my turn
They shake their fists at me and my innards start to burn
I’m pushed beyond the pale, there are limits to endure
The little man in me, wants them all to be injured
Time to buy a Taser gun, to be shocking everyone
Watch the anger in their eyes as the smoke comes off their head

Lost in Layton Lost in Layton Lost in Layton

Poker Girl

Coming on strong with a king and a ten she’s a poker girl
Hummin’ along but she won’t give a tell she’s a poker girl
If she’s bluffing or for real you will have to tell by feel she’s a poker girl
Queen of hearts

Can’t even sleep cause her two seven beat your aces
Didn’t look strong when the deuces came along on the end
If you couldn’t tell by now she sweetness all around it’s a game for two

Pardon me If I interrupt this hand to admire your eyes
Pardon me while I lean over the table just to peek a bit
Don’t mind me cause’ I’m falling deep in love with the poker girl

Her favorite hand is the Montana banana she’s a poker girl
She strokes the cards like she’s holding big slick she’s a poker girl
If I get her in a hand when she’s holding the nuts it’s the end of the game

Pardon me while I interrupt this hand for a little kiss
Pardon me if I tell you that the boat is what I missed
Don’t mind me cause’ I’m falling deep in love with the poker girl

Wow, you guys really put out a high quality cd in this one. The vocal melodies really pack a strong punch.
