ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Philadelphia-based singer/songwriter/choreographer Lacy James returns to recording after a long hiatus working in dance, with a follow-up album that picks up where her well-received debut Lovefeast left off. The first single “Osmosis Song” is a dreamy indie rocker on an existential/environmental theme. Featuring drummer Charlie Patierno, bassists Ken Pendergast and Jeff Hiatt, and guitar wizard Ross Bellenoit alongside James’ ethereal vocals and synths, the unexpected musical choices of “Osmosis Song” serve as a good introduction for what’s to come on James’ second full-length release.

The full album, Circles of Swallows, is due in early 2013 and holds many surprises in store. Still in an eclectic and ethereal vein, the record was shaped by James’ collaboration with producer Jeff Hiatt at noted Philadelphia workshop Turtle Studios.

There are two available versions of "Osmosis Song" here -- the shorter radio edit version, and the full length album track. Purchase the 2-song "album" if you want both versions for the price of one.
