ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Lacy, a native of the Guadalupe Mountains of West Texas, has resided in the Lubbock area since 2007 when she began work on her PhD in English Literature at Texas Tech University. She is an Assistant Professor of English, and she pursues her musical endeavors on the side.

Lacy has been writing and performing her original songs for the last ten years, and this first record, a folk/Americana project that is long overdue, was released in April 2013. Lacy's songs speak of love and loss, heartbreak, and the regret that follows all too often. To borrow a phrase from her singer/songwriter father Edward Davis, “some of [her] songs are true, and some of them are songs about truth.”
