Album Notes
Led by guitarist/singer/songwriter Jeff Romero, La Distancia's debut release,"¿Dónde Estás?" is available online for the first time ever. The tracks on this CD represent what Jeff has termed as "New Mexico Onda or Onda Nuevo Mexicana" (a type of New Mexican style heavily influenced by the Tex-mex approach to traditional Spanish Ranchera music). The songs throughout ¿Dónde Estás? contain a masterful blend of jazz, blues, and classical guitar styles backed by the combined experience and talents of a professional music group.

The musicians on this CD are Jeff Romero on Guitar/vocals, Albert Bustamante on bass, Mario Baca on drums, Eddie Herrera on accordion, Richard Medina and special guest musician Steve Chavez on Keyboards and accordion. The CD recording was done at Chavez Studios in Española, New Mexico.

For fans (and those new to Latin music), now is your chance to own the authentic, cultural music of northern New Mexico brought to you by Jeff Romero Y La Distancia.

Great band!
This is a great CD for those of you who like NM Ranchera music. I have had the honor of listening to this band live and they are great. Jeff Romero is an awesome guitarist who can play anything from country to rock and everything in between.

i got to listen to the cd on a road trip from nm to california. the long, open road allowed me to listen to the music without distraction. i was completely mesmerized and heard the complex musical orchestrations as i had not been able to hear them before. the music is exemplary and feels fresh, vibrant, and original.

Music from New Mexico at it's best...
I've owned this CD for a while now, and every time I listen to it, I'm reminded of the sights and sounds that I grew up with in New Mexico. The guitar playing is subtle, yet some of the best I've heard. Highly recommended!

It's upbeat and energizing; the best way to start my day
This isn't the type of music I generally listen to, but a friend recommended it, so I purchased it. Now I listen to it all the time. It's upbeat and energizing....the best way to start my day. Jeff Romero's vocals shine.
