ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Ladycop is the brainchild of New York City musicians Cliff Rawson and Kolby Wade, whose past projects include Boston cult faves Araby, (Rawson), and California transplants The Symphony Case (Wade). The band grew out of a collaborative recording project featuring Kolby on electronics and Cliff on vocals and various instruments. This eventually blossomed into a full band with the addition of multi-instrumentalists Josh Ricchio (The Symphony Case) and Josh Collins. Combining virtuosic vocals and glitchy beats with big rock, Ladycop is quickly developing a reputation as one of NYC's most exciting live bands.

Thank You
Read comparisons with Radiohead. Its much better than Radiohead OK?

Nikki at CDBaby

Moody and gorgeous
Hey! Nikki from CDBaby Customer Service here. I love this EP. I don't want to make obvious connections, but the music here has the elements of Radiohead and PJ Harvey that I love distilled to perfection. This is NOT imitation either. The arrangements have room to breathe and are creative and textural. I love the acoustic guitars melded with distorted beats. And the vocals are just perfect. The screams on "Put Down the Racers" are deliciously chilling. I love listening to this album when I am working: Ladycop makes me happy that I work at CDBaby!

Impressive
Catchy, surprising, innovative and uplifting. Hope to hear more from them!

"Wow its like Thom Yorke has a twin sister who has been morped with portishead."

Well put, Micah!

Glitchy, programmed beats and emotive vocals.
It has been a long time since I've heard a new band, in the traditional format of guitars, drums, and singer, that really got me excited. Characterized by its glitchy, programmed beats and emotive vocals - EP leaves a favorable impression of Ladycop, one which will undoubtedly blossom in future works.

This band is gonna be huge...
I just saw these guys play live and they blew my mind! This is probably the best band I've heard in a long time...amazing!

WoW!!!!
This album was a wonderful surprise!!! From cover to ending track this album holds up . I love the spiriling guitars backdropped against the edgy bass and proggy percussion. The vocals are outstanding!! Wow its like Thom Yorke has a twin sister who has been morped with portishead. Love it!!!

Grrreat
Very fun and challenging EP. It\'s unpredictable and glitchy and very difficult to describe in words. So... buy it!
