PERSONAL HISTORY SUMMARY

Edward “Lamont” Hadley

Singer Lamont Hadley is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He is the son of Maple Davis and the late Curtis Brooks. As a child, Lamont would step around the house using a belt buckle as a microphone while singing the songs of the O’Jays, Temptations, Four Tops, and the Whispers.
In 1978 he started his singing career as a member of a group called the “Fire 5”. His first public performance was at Dunbar Elementary School in St. Louis, MO in which the “Fire 5” won 1st Place singing, The Second Time Around, by Shalamar. From 1980 – 1985 Lamont performed with this same group at Vashon High School in the Request of Pleasure, a Talent Show for local entertainers.
In 1986 Lamont was appointed to represent Vashon High School in the Southwestern Bell Teen Talent Show Extravaganza held at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO. There were 150 schools represented in this Extravaganza.
Lamont then became a singer of a local group called, “Rare Form” in 1988. “Rare Form” became an entity of the “Galaxy Band”, an agency that secured contracts and book shows for “Rare Form”. This gave Lamont an opportunity to share the stage with professional singers such as Barbara Mandrell, Kenny Rogers and Sherl Crow at the Grand Old Opera Land in Nashville, TN.
In 1989 Lamont became a member of a local singing group called “The Master’s Touch”. This was the beginning of his childhood dream, an all male singing group in which he imitated as a kid. Over the years, this singing group also shared the stage with many professional singers such as the O’Jays, Temptations, The Dells, Gerald Levert, The Dramatics, Peabo Bryson, Tony Terry, Boyz II Men, The Rude Boys, The Delfonics, T.L.C. and others.
In 1995 the Master’s Touch was invited to Las Vegas, NV to work with Shermen Hemsley (a.k.a. George Jefferson) and Smoken Joe Frazier at the Casino Flamingo Hilton. The “Master’s Touch” also performed in Rino and Mesquite, NV at the Casino Peppermill. Shortly afterwards the group fell apart.
From 1999 – 2000 Lamont extended his singing career by performing in Spain with the “Platters”. This contract with Romantic Tolo pomar Corporate included performing in Mallorca, Menorca, Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Internacional.
After the end of Lamont’s contract with Romantic Tolo pomar Corporate he returned to St. Louis, MO. Approximately six months after his return, he received a call from Charlie Vaughn and Larry Borders, prior group members of the Master’s Touch. The three got together and formed the smooth sounds of “L.L.C”.
This new group has already shared the stage with professional singers such as Freddie Jackson, Will Downing, and The Manhattans and just completed a CD consisting of nine songs entitled, Guaranteed For Lovemaking – ANYTIME.

A CHANGE IS GONNA COME
Hello Mr Hadley, I lived in LV when LLC performed there both times. I\'m a big fan. I was there for every set. I\'m going to purchase this. I already own Guaranteed For Lovemaking-Anytime By L.L.C.
I wish you guys would make another CD. Are you still performing? Coming to CA anytime in the near future? Or back to LV?
