Album Notes
Laura Seton is a singer/songwriter based in Jerusalem, Israel. This is the first compilation of her songs which she has been performing - off and on - for years in the local folk music scene. Many of them have to do with the decision to go for it - to take the plunge and let love in. There are also other levels of meaning, including, of course, what you bring to the songs when you listen to them.

Laura's goal was to make a recording that delights your ears and touches your heart. She is very grateful for the producing expertise of Leonardo Bella, who also played guitars and bass on most of the tracks. Laura used almost all local musicians, of which there are many of high quality in Jerusalem, including fiddle players Jonathan Miller and Maayan Carmeli, stand-up bass player Ehud Gerlich and drummer/percussionist Abe Doron. (Laura plays the harmonica on one song.) Laura loves good vocal harmonies, so there are lots of those in the mix, as well, thanks to the lovely voices of Bethany Cohen and Becki Blackham.

About living in Jerusalem, Laura has this to say: "You have to have a good sense of humor to survive in this place! It also helps to be grounded spiritually, because this place is a spiritual battlefield, so to speak. I think my songs reflect both these aspects."

Great CD
Lovely musical style, especially the slightly celtic sounding tracks. Laura has a lovely clear folksy voice. Great lyrics with interesting thoughts in them. And the musicians are wonderful. Enjoyed it very much.
