Album Notes
Prolific musician, Laurent Rochelle wrote a hundred pieces of music for different artistic projects and shows including Monkomarok (electro jazz world quartet) and Lilliput Orkestra (current jazz quartet).

He also wrote music for theatre, experimental short films and work
with the american movie producer Joseph Christiana (NY)

Since 5 years it also produces its own music and others artists with his own studio and its label (Linoleum) has released 10 CD.

Author of original and very personal music , these compositions bear the mark of a musician influenced by classical music and jazz combining rigorous writing and fresh experimental fantasy.

Some reviews about the solo recordings « conversations à voix basse » and « choses entendues » in 2003 and 2005.

Improjazz, oct 2003 : \"Laurent Rochelle is an adept neither with the occult ner with well kept secrets. He disregards complexes and believes in his own instinct. When i listen to him, i can hear a touching, generous musician, a convinced melody composer, deeply romantic who in addition succeeds in making himself convincing”

ad panorama, mars 2004: Laurent Rochelle creates an environment where an academic concert hall can crossbreed strangely with an old circus tent. His music could easily find its place in Caro’s and Jeunet’s films.

Traverses magazine, janvier2004 :All throughtout his finely chiselled pieces, we can see the half-concealed figures of E.Satie, pascal Comelade, Klimperei. Simple melodies full of sensations, dull sounds, crystal clear notes. This CD deserve to become loud when they talk about him.

Longueur d\'onde, sept 2003, Vincent Michaud \" These conversations breathe and resound in a wallless space therefore,on all acounts, they should be heard by a great number.

Jazzosphère, mai 2006 We fell how lonely a composer is when mentally he creates meterials and colours, when he gives life to a boundless creativity. A conversations to be discovered wit taking risks.
