Album Notes
Although Leaf Playing in the Wind (Barg Baziche-ye Baad) was Vesal Ensemble’s first recorded album, completed in 2001, due to circumstances at the time, it remained unreleased to the public. Eight years later, the director of the group, Arjang Seyfizadeh, reconsidered this album for release. Through modifications drastically restructuring the album, resulting in some pieces being completely removed, with others added or re-recorded, the album was ready for release. The unique instrumental arrangement of this compilation, combining Persian classical instruments and a few Western instruments, including the use of a choir, gave it a refreshingly new sound as compared to the original version.

Originally, Mohammad Hossein Seyfizadeh was to perform vocals, and as a result, the lyrics of the album were at the time selected to reflect his poetic sophistication and insight. In the end however, by his own recommendation, the vocals of this collection were entrusted to Arjang, a younger vocalist. This created a distinct musical atmosphere where the lyrics and poetry of this album at times transcends the poetic experience of the singer.

Barg Bazicheye Baad was originally produced in 2009 by Ravi-ye Azar Kimiya and was delivered to audiences by Avaye Barbad. Artists who contributed to this album include:
