ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Triad is the third in a series of original instrumental compositions for the acoustic guitar. Finger-style guitarist Leif A. Sørensen is known for his works in the percussive acoustic genre. He places a unique spin on traditional playing styles by subtly implementing extended techniques to create a variety of textures and sounds.

It appears that once again Sørensen has shown his range of style. Although a few pieces seem reminiscent of the music from This Flighty Temptress, many of the other arrangements seem to trade the use of ambient harmonics for sheer finger work. The new crisp post-production approach provides sharper clarity and a brighter mood than the baroque motif of his previous albums. The range of emphasis and pace within each song, and across the album as a whole, creates a beautiful story without words.
