She began her career as New York City based jazz pianist.Studying piano with jazz masters BARRY HARRIS and then MIKE LONGO, she performed in New Jersey venues such as the Barron Arts Center, Newark Museum, Plaza Hotel in NYC, Birdland,West End Gate and many other clubs and concert venues all within her home area. Talent,love of jazz and the wider recognition that came with it, have brought her to a place where she is now performing in concert venues for jazz societies such as the Gainesville Friends of Jazz & Blues, The Blowing Rock Jazz Society, and many others. Most of her recent performances have been "sold out" or "standing room only".
She has performed at the Cape May Jazz Festival, the East Coast Jazz Festival, the S.S. Norway Floating Jazz Festival with CLARK TERRY and AL GREY, Steinway Jazz Showcase in Scottsdale, AZ, Jazk Kleinsinger's Highlights in Jazz at the Hewlett Library, the Colorado Springs Conservatory,Dazzles in Denver,Pops for Champagne in Chicago. She held the piano chair at the 15th Annual Jazz Showcase where she performed with WYCLIFFE GORDON, KEN PEPLOWSKI, CARROLL DASHIELL.
Some of Lenore's credits include a guest spot on MARIAN McPARTLAND'S Piano Jazz, finalist in Sony's Search for a Jazz Star, a performance at the Long Beach International Association for Jazz Education. She has played back up piano for well known vocalists JOHN PIZZARELLI, MARLENE VER PLANCK, GIACOMO GATES, DAKOTA STATON and many others but Lenore is most at home with her own great trio.

Lenore with lyricist Marcia Hillman has written a show called "Scat Cat in Jazzland" to teach young children about the origin and development of jazz.
A talented composer and lyricist, she has won ASCAP awards for her original compositions. Among her many acclaimed songs, she wrote the tune JOHNNY JAZZ, which was recorded by vocalist DENISE DONATELLI.
