ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Well known locally and abroad as one of the premier jazz saxophonist on the Gulf Coast. He performs on Tenor, Alto, and Soprano Saxophones as well as piano and flute. Genres of music include Standards, Jazz Standards, Swing, Be-Bop, Cool Jazz and the Blues.

Playing professionally for over 50 years, the native Mobilian has backed artists such as Millie Jackson, Redd Foxx, and in concert with Ray Charles. He has recorded with renowned trombonist Fred Westley, the accomplished pianist Roy Merriwether and opened for Lou Rawles, Chemistry and Authur Prysock.

He has also performed for audiences in Baden and Zurich, Switzerland and Yelapa, Mexico. Early in his career he was a member of the United States Air Force Band performing in the United States and Europe. He is also an accomplished producer, arranger, composer, and music instructor (saxophone, flute, clarinet, and piano).

This CD started out being very special to me, but apparently ended up being very special to a lot of other people as well.

The entire CD consists of easy listening standards sung by myself. However the title track "A Blossom Fell" is one of my original compositions.

A dear student of mine, an 11 year old child, past away and I wrote this song in her honor. The song has reached so many people in so many different ways and I often receive comments about it.

"A Blossom Feel" is a heartwarming song and truly one of my favorite compositions.
