ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
I began writing poems, or "lyrics", when I was 13, but I never knew what to do with them. I'm virtually tone deaf and can't keep a beat, so any "songs" I write are unlikely to sound like a traditional song. The guitar playing will just be me playing random chords without much of a structure, and the singing most likely to sound more like spoken word than singing. For a long time, this discouraged me from ever releasing any of my music or performing in public, though I would record unstructured "songs" alone in my apartment and put them on Soundcloud. Eventually I came up with the "loophole" of recording myself reciting my poems verbatim, in a spoken word fashion, and letting some acquaintances of mine (Johan G. Winther of Scraps of Tape, and Lotta Wenglén) set my poems to music that they wrote. That is what became this first E.P. I am half Swedish and half Australian, having an Australian father and a Swedish mother, and having lived in both countries and having dual citizenship. Because of this I'm bi-lingual and it feels natural for me to write lyrics in both languages, and this is reflected on my debut E.P. I currently reside in Malmö, Sweden.
