Album Notes
I wrote my first rap when I was 14 years old and performed it at Yuba City High School on the quad stage at lunchtime. In 1996, 3 close homies and I formed a rap crew called M.V.P. and made a name for ourselves as local Rap heros. By 2001, we were signed to Aries music and our CD, Cali Kingz, was released world wide. We completed our second CD,”Disfunktional Behavior”, in 2002 , but was never released. M.V.P. soon split up and each member went their own way.
I am a solo artist, now. I live for Hip Hop music, so it is impossible for me to leave it alone. My biggest musical influence would be Nas because of his descriptive story tellin' skills. That's what I like to do. I like to tell stories of real life situations that I have been through or situations people close to me have been through. I try to keep my music as real as I can spit it. I think of myself as a street narrator.
I try to keep my sound original and fresh. My music brings out a lot of emotion and soul. You will also hear live instruments in my music, as well as samples. Yes, I said it! Samples. It’s not in all my music, but from time to time it’s fun to fuck around with. I also like to remake old school hits and give’em my own little twist. Give my music a listen. I promise nuttin’ but quality Hip Hop.
