Album Notes
Lily Mountain Band is a vibrant band consisting of five of Sweden’s most skilled folk musicians. The band plays original songs influenced by americana, old-time, and bluegrass music, with a touch of Sweden. In a natural and charming way, the nordic melancholy meets the sound of north america, with personal lyrics about life in it’s truest sence. Two fiddles in harmonies, inspired by the traditional Swedish way of playing, together with guitars, dobro, banjo and double-bass. Add the clarity of Lovisa Liljeberg’s beautiful and strong voice and true expression. This is contemporary Nordic americana at it’s best and the next big folk act.

The band was formed in 2010 by the singer-songwriter Lovisa Liljeberg, who after many years of studying and singing traditional Swedish music, felt the urge of expressing herself in her own way. She bought herself a guitar and started to write songs. Just as if they had been there for a long time, a bunch of songs that sounded a bit like north american folk songs, came to life. She decided that she needed a band to play these songs with, so she picked her absolute favourite musicians, and formed Lily Mountain Band.
