Album Notes
A fantastic high energy, fully orchestrated piano collection of some of the most famous ragtime piano pieces performed by world class pianist Linda Gentille. This fantastic recording includes such favorites as The Entertainer, The Rootbeer Rag, Rhapsody in Blue, The Beer Barrel Polka, Begin Beguine, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Oh Susanna, Do RA Mi, In The Mood, Stars and Stripes Forever, and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy. It even includes a ragtime selection by the artists great grandmother Anna Louise Deal who was one of the country's first female published ragtime composers.

Linda Gentille,"The Princess of the Piano" is called world wide "the fastest fingers in the world." Gentille is considered the premier interpreter of American piano music and premier female Christian pianist, specializing in classical renditions of traditional hymns.Growing up in Pacific Palisades, California, Linda began her musical studies taking classes with her Father at Roger Williams' studio in Los Angeles. Her immediate grasp of complex and advanced music, her inherent technique, and her incredible ability to quickly and accurately memorize lengthy musical scores, soon endeared Linda to even her most senior instructors. After advancing quickly through the Roger Williams program, Linda then studied under Julliard trained Richard Kohfeld of Santa Monica and won numerous piano awards and accolades as a young pianist.

It was not long before Linda, still a teenager, auditioned for the Liberace show in Las Vegas and was immediately selected to tour with him in 1986. Mr. Showmanship was so taken with Linda's natural talent and incredible entertaining capability, he subsequently invited her to perform at his last record breaking Radio City Music Hall engagement in New York City. This event marked Linda's 'coming out' as a truly phenomenal entertainer and pianist. In fact, Liberace referred to Linda as the 'Piano Princess', a nick name that Linda's legends of fans still know her by today. Liberace also said of Linda, "She plays as beautifully as she looks." Today, Linda's world renowned entertaining style is clearly reminiscent of her mentor and friend.

Linda's unique and incredibly entertaining concert performances continuously have her audiences demanding return engagements year after year. During her concert career, Linda has performed over 1000 concerts worldwide. One of the many highlights of her career was a performance at The White House Correspondents' Dinner during President Ronald Reagan's administration.

Today, one of the most popular and memorable parts of Linda's concerts is her 'Top Ten Medley' segment. This portion of Linda's show inevitably leaves her audience in total awe as she takes her audience's requests, and then, from memory, plays the requests in a seamlessly medley in the reverse order she received them. Another highlight of Linda's concerts is her incredible ability to skillfully weave classical, and her own flamenco style, into her memorized repertoire of over 2000 popular songs and hymns.

Recently Linda completed her 10th concert tour of China where she holds the world record, according to the Chinese Ministry of Culture, for performing more concerts (over 105 to date) in China than any other Artisttruly an incredible achievement and the envy of the international entertainment industry as China becomes an ever increasing destination of strong interest for entertainers from all corners of the globe. As Linda does in many other foreign countries, in China she conducts her press conferences, and communicates with and sings for her audiences in their own language, an additional talent that further ingratiates Linda to her huge international following. In all, Linda speaks eight foreign languages, including Mandarin.

Linda has recorded over a dozen CD's and DVD's and successfully runs her own production company, Peacemaker Productions, producing concerts and student drug prevention assemblies. Her CD's enjoy worldwide popularity, and she has sold over 5 million copies in China alone. Linda is a great inspiration for thousands of students across the country and around the world where she has performed hundreds of student assembly performances during her career. In fact, Linda, when overseas, often donates her time to perform for sick and underprivileged children.

Linda is available for concerts worldwide. Her newest show, The American Piano Show, is an entertaining and educational tribute to American's greatest composers. This show is suited to both general and student audiences. She also performs a concert featuring traditional hymns performed with classical variations called, Great Hymns of America. For her international audiences, Linda is currently performing, Around the World with Music, an incredible musical tour featuring international favorites by the world's greatest composers such as Malaguena, Tico Tico, La Vie En Rose, Sorrento, and others.
