ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Brother's Keeper is the first single from the forth coming CD "Songs For My Father" by songwriter/producer, Lionel Crawford. Some of the songs started out as personal ideas from a songwriter's approach, that were then mended and bended by an Artist's and producer's point of view. The end result was presented to you the listener, according to Lionel. Brother's Keeper is musically very upbeat. An African six placed over a continuous four on the floor sets the rhythm. The guitar is bluesy while a hint of Funk is expressed by the slap of the bass; however, it is the message delivered by the voice that will make you pause.

A Musical Genius
Lionel Crawford is a musical genius. He is one of those rare artists that can play every instrument that he picks up, do his own sound engineering, and then sing the song with the feeling that was intended. Brother's Keeper is an amazing track and I look forward to hearing the next in the series. I highly recommend Lionel's music.
