Yellow Shoes

by Lisa Biales

Folk, Jazz Standards, Blues, and American Roots music mixed with cleverly written original tunes. All laced together with a little parlor guitar and a crystal pure voice. This CD sounds as if Lisa is singing to you directly from her living room.

Kid tested/Parent Approved!

Lisa Biales has been entertaining children since 1991. She began visiting the classroom of her two sons each year and much to their delight, it became an annual event.

“Yellow Shoes” went to New York City in 2008. Lisa took her one-woman show to the big apple and entertained families during the Fortnight Festival at Barrow Street Theatre.

“ Audience reaction was overwhelming.” ~ Scott Morfee, Barrow Street Theatre, NY

Lisa’s crystal clear voice and effortless guitar playing has a universal appeal, starting with the first song, which says “Hello” eight different languages. Perfect for the car, home or classroom and a perfect gift for the budding music enthusiast.

"Play it again!" ~ Max, Age 4

Yellow Shoes
Listening to the “Yellow Shoes” collection by Lisa Biales is like uncovering one of your favorite toys from your childhood. It’s an escape into a time of comfort and joy, as you'll want to hear it play for hours.

Like the cover-tunes of “Swinging On a Star” and “When You Wish Upon a Star” wisk you back to dreams of the past, you won’t want to leave the arms of “Owl Moon”, as Lisa's lovely voice cradles you in wonder.

Ironically, Biales rhymes with ‘Alice’. Lisa gently reaches out and leads you through the magical mirror to a land of music boxes, ballerinas, butterflies and unpredictable Cheshire cats.

Lisa unveils memorable moments of motherhood in “Don’t Call Your Mama”, where you’re sure to rock with it’s bluesy beat and “Peace and Quiet”, inspired by her son Nathan. I guarantee you’ll hit replay again and again on this track!

The sentimental title track, “Yellow Shoes” strikes a chord from adolescence. You’ll frolic along in its playful landscape, surely falling in love all over again with your first love.

This is a perfect choice for your family’s music library and one that will create new memories for children of this era.
