Lisha Cash, singer/songwriter from Toronto, Ontario, takes on a new sound, Electronic Pop. Her songs have recently found their way onto television, on shows such as Degrassi and Debra, and now Lisha plans to spread her music to the masses.
Lisha has been singing and composing since she was eight years old and recording since she was eighteen. She took piano lessons for eight years and often accompanies her music with piano compositions. She attended Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts, in the Music Theatre program. During her four years there she participated in 11 shows, where she was part of the chorus, small group performances, solo numbers and duets. She also participated in community theatre for six years, singing, dancing and acting. Lisha received vocal training from Ivan Zilman throughout high school and is currently working with him on her new musical endeavour, Guitar. Lisha is also continuing to live out her passion for acting through film acting classes at Dean Armstrong Acting Studio in Toronto. She hopes to further develop her acting skills to allow for many opportunities within the entertainment industry. Lisha believes her biggest accomplishment thus far was organizing and headlining a gig for Haiti relief efforts, raising $1000.
Lisha’s enjoys many different genres of music; some of her favourite artists include Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, Carrie Underwood, Florence and The Machine, Adele, and The Fray.
Her strong vocals and catchy tunes, matched by her easy to relate to lyrics and fresh sound will help on her quest to break into the music industry.
Music has been an emotional outlet for Lisha and her creative side can be explored in her song writing ability. Her deep passion for music allowed her to complete a twelve track C.D. at 19 years old, and has enabled her to continue to create music in hopes of completing a second album. Regardless of where her music takes her, she will cherish the experience and the memories will last a lifetime
