ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Sludge Rock 'n' Roll descending from the bowels of Brisbane, Australia

"Five hale and hearty chaps, known collectively as Lords of Wong, provide their particular take on the popular genre of rock and roll with great enthusiasm. The band consists of persistent stomach complaints, pharmaceutical abuse, broken cigarettes, abnormal alcohol abuse, co-morbid pathological personalities, and a sprinkling of existentialist angst. It isn’t all fun and games, however, as the lads take their music seriously, and deliver shows to audiences they alternately wish to lovingly embrace and sadistically torture, like the methamphetamine addicted teen parents that so much of their behavior seems patterned on. Please enjoy Lords of Wong, as much as they enjoy you. "

Den The Man

Dirty, Depraved - But Delicious.
Britney Spears this ain't - more like Zulu spears at ten paces! This stuff is dirtier than Angus Young in a mudslide, more depraved than Ossie at a chicken-eating festival - but delicious in its commitment to all that true rock 'n' roll stands for.
Just like the birth of The Blues there's no poncing about with fancy chords or tricky arrangements; what you've got here is a group of guys playing and singing about things that matter to them.
If your kids have fallen by the wayside and are listening to musical wallpaper, buy 'em this CD - they might not thank you for it, but they'll be better able to appreciate proper rock 'n' roll when they hear it. This album is the duck's guts - say no more. . .

Dirty, Depraved And Delicious!!
This CD could well become a standard.
That is, a standard by which nervous parents can demonstrate to their budding muso-kiddies just what copious amounts of bourbon and a 'Fllying V' can do to their soul. Britney Spears this ain't - Zulu spears at ten paces is more like it! Dirtier by far than ACDC in a mud-bath, more depraved than Black Sabbath at a chicken-eating festival, and yet deliciously musically tight as a stripper's G-string. Go buy it, your kids might learn a thing or two about rock 'n' roll. . .
