ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Founded in 1959 by Efrén Sáenz, the distinguished leading voice, Los Soberanos have maintained the unique style and texture of “Bolero” & "trio" music, keeping this romantic and musical tradition alive. Known for their unique interpretation of “Perla Negra” in the 60’s, which placed them at no.1 on the Mexican “Hit Parade”, Los Soberanos continues to be one of the greatest trios of our time.

Their success has led to the recording of over 37 albums that cover the last 100 years of romantic Mexican music from some of the best composers in Latin America and beyond. Equally, they have performed and received international recognition in Japan, Spain, Cuba, Venezuela and the United States, and have graced the most famous stages of Mexico.

EL MEJOR TRIO
Para mi y toda mi familia el mejor trio de Mexico ni siquiera los panchos fueron tan buenos como ellos con la diferencia que los panchos tubieron mejores promotores una lastima que no se les reconociera como es debido

I am not a music critic nor do I have the vocabulary for it.
I just like music and Francamente by Los Soberanos is one I play often.
Because it adds some pleasant moments to my life. The fellows sound sincere
and as if they are playing for me. I can relax and enjoy. I don't speak Spanish but no matter, music is universal.

One of the greatest trios of our time, keeping this romantic and musical tradition alive, Los Soberanos deliver supple and elegant Mexican ballads, stemming from the "bolero" tradition from Cuba. With their sweet, resonant vocals backed by the fresh and crisp work of classical guitars, Francamente features twelve gems that will evoke love and passion in the most numb of hearts.
